Thought
I must admit that it is easy to compromise, but it is quite hard to stand and be different. The more we compromise on the principle of holiness, the weaker and less effective we become spiritually. Going to the movies is NOT a sin; looking at TV is NOT a sin; hanging out with friends is NOT a sin; but if you do those things more than you give to God, then they have become your god. The things we invest time into are the things that are most important to us (Matthew 6:21). What do you treasure most: pleasing God or pleasing man? We must make up in our mind that God is the most important thing by fasting, praying and meditating on His Word because that is what's best for us (Proverbs 3:7-8)!
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, I'm sorry that I have not always made the best decisions in my life. I have not always place you above everything else. Holiness is what you require and holiness is what I'm determined to be. Shape me and mold me after thine will, so that I can stand bold for you, even while others turn away. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
