“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Thought
As a young ministry, it can become discouraging when your labor is not producing the results that you desire. If we lose focus and stop walking by faith, our labor of love will become a labor for self. David counted the people (1 Chronicles 21) because he lost focus on who was in control. Don't be discouraged by what you see, but know that God knows what He is doing (Jeremiah 29:11). He not only saves, He delivers. He not only protects, but He fights our battles. In every area of our lives, God knows what is best. If He never fails, why trust anyone else? He has our best interest at heart.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for knowing what's best for me, my family, my loved ones and my ministry. Order our footsteps and let us not be weary in well-doing. Keep our eyes on you so that we won't lose focus of your promises. When times are tough, your promise serve as our salvation. Your promises bring life. Thank you for being a promise keeper. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
