Lesson 6: When It Rains (James 5:16-18)
Questions:
- Reflecting on what we learned in Lesson 5, why is it important to confess our sins to others (5:16)? What are the dangers of not doing so?
- After reading 1 Kings 16:29 – 17:7, 18:41-46, why did Elijah pray against rain and then eventually pray for rain (James 5:17-18)? Why would James use this example to explain prayer to us?
Preparation
Do you believe in the Power of Prayer? Who do you trust to pray for you? Who do you take time to pray/intercede for? Prayer is a weapon to rely COMPLETELY on God to do what is need and “if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” (1 John 5:15). Tap into the POWER of Prayer!
