Preparation
The Parable of the Builder is part of Jesus’ most pivotal sermon, known as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) or the Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6:17-49). This sermon represents the core of Jesus’ teachings on what it means to be a part of the kingdom of God (or kingdom of heaven). In these parables, Jesus challenges us to get to work and put our faith into action.
