- In Matthew’s Gospel, according to Jesus’ teaching, what does it mean to following Him? Where should our focus be?
- In Luke’s Gospel, what is the complaint of the religious establishment that leads to Jesus telling the Parable of the Lost Sheep?
- How does Jesus answer their objection? What’s the difference between his perspective and theirs?
- What is God’s perspective on the sinner (the lost) – the person who is far from God?
Preparation
The Parables of The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin and The Lost Son have similar context. Review each of these parables and identify the relationship between these three parables.
