- How was the high priest appointed (5:4)? Who was Aaron?
- How was Christ appointed for His position (5:5)? What was said to Him when He was appointed? How is Hebrews 1:1-5 connected to 5:5?
- What are the two ways the author describes Christ in Hebrews 5:6?
- What did Jesus do “in the days of his flesh” (5:7a)?
- Why were Jesus’ prayers heard (5:7b)?
- How did Jesus learn when He was in the flesh here on earth (5:8)?
- What is Jesus the source of in 5:9? How did He become the source?
Homework
Every verse in Psalm 119 refers to the Word of God. Read through Psalm 119 and select at least 10 verses that speak out to you. Begin to memorize these verses.
