- What is one of the sources of conflicts among believers (4:1)?
- According to the beginning of 4:2, what leads to murder, fighting and quarrelling?
- Why and how is a desire for godly wisdom misaligned in 4:3?
- How does someone become an enemy of God and what does that look like compared to the Christian framework articulated in 1:18-27?
Preparation
We’ve had a long break. Read through James 1-3 aloud to refresh James’ urgent call to the believers. James often used hyperbole to make his points memorable. Make note of the changing of tones and the nuances of ideas that connect one phrase to the next.
