Lesson 27: The Dishonest (Luke 16:1-13)
Questions:
- What does the manager do that is dishonest (or unethical)? What does he seem to know about the man he works for?
- How does Jesus expect us to handle wealth – and finances in general?
- What is Jesus saying about the difference between a person who values the kingdom of heaven and a person who values wealth? How do their ethics differ?
- What (or who) does a member of the kingdom serve?
Preparation
Is your earthly wealth more important than heavenly riches? Is God in charge of your finances or does your circumstances dictate how you give? Do you conduct business with integrity or do you bend the rules? These are just some questions we should ponder as you prepare to review the Parable of the Dishonest Manager.
