Dumfries, Virginia – On Monday, July 22, 2019, Praise Center Church Of God In Christ and the #WeSERVE CDC announces the grand opening of the Tech Center at Praise Center. The Tech Center aims to provide high quality, hands-on computer/technical training for youth and adults to increase computer literacy in Dumfries and the surrounding Northern VA communities.
As a Systems Engineer with 23+ years experience, it has been the dream of Elder Eugene C. McCown, Jr., the Pastor of Praise Center, to open a computer lab where individuals, both young and seasoned, could learn how to more effectively use computers. With technology taking over the world, Elder McCown believes that it’s important to provide access to this industry, especially to those without the necessary resources to take advantage of these great opportunities.
Starting in September, the six (6) seat Tech Center will offer training for one or more of the following classes:
- Windows 10 Desktop Management
- Microsoft Office For Beginners
- Resume Writing
- Graphic Design
- Video Production and Editing
- Social Media
- and more!
