"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease" (Genesis 8:22). As He did throughout the five Law Books, God took time to establish laws that would govern His creation. These laws not only govern the physical life of people, but they also govern our spiritual lives as well and establishes a cycle that will remain intact until God returns to create a "new heaven and new earth." Genesis 8:22 identifies three cycles that will not cease until the end of time: 1) seedtime and harvest, 2) cold and heat (two of the four seasons), and 3) day and night. Out of these three cycles, WE the believer play a major role with how the law of seedtime and harvest works in our lives.
We often hear "you reap what you sow" and it is generally mentioned when referring to retribution for wrong doing. However, the law of seedtime and harvest is not just for retribution, but for reaping blessings as well. God has placed a blueprint for growth and success in EVERY seed and it's important for believers to understand how to make this law work in our favor.
