“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
Thought
In many transitions, information is rarely transferred from the old regime to the new. When information fails to flow, it causes unnecessary delays as the new team tries to get up to speed. In this Christian walk, there's no time for delays because the devil it out to destroy God's people (John 10:10). He's not waiting for you go get ready! Moses wanted to assure Joshua that God was going to be with him, not matter what comes his way. We don't have to rely on our own power or might (Zechariah 4:6). We can "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" (Ephesians 6:10). His power never fails!
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, it's reassuring to know that I'm not in the battle alone. I don't have to rely upon my own might or strength, but I can rely solely on you. Help me to trust you without doubting. Help me to keep my eyes focused on you and not the trials. You are mighty and you are strong. Your strength never fails. I know that nothing is too hard for my God. Thank you for being you! In Jesus Name, Amen.
