James 1:5
Thought
Ask, Seek, and Knock (Matthew 7:7-8). These three simple steps guarantees that when we ask, we'll receive; when we seek, we'll find; and when we knock, things will be open. There is nothing that God will withhold from those He loves (Romans 8:32). Wisdom is ours only if we seek it above all other possessions (Proverbs 2). God longs to impart it gifts to His children, we just have to ask for the right gifts.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, I first ask for a closer walk with you on this day. The closer I am to you, the more I can glean from you and the more I'll exhibit your characteristics. Then I ask for wisdom to be the husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, friend, neighbor, or individual that you've called me to be. I cannot meet your high standards unless you lead, guide and direct me. Thank you in advance for wisdom for this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.
