“And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
Isaiah 58:11
Thought
Life can be overwhelming these days as people are suffering in many ways: financially, physically, spiritually and mentally. How can leaders be sources of life, refreshment and hope when the land is filled with despair and drought? We must depend upon God who will bless us with words of life, even in the midst of storms and droughts. Many have tried to carry the burdens of the people on their own and failed, losing hope and losing the battle. But if we allow God to be our strength (Psalm 27:1, 28:7, 73:26), as we give out He'll pour more into us, allowing us to be the vessels of life that His people need.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, our leaders need your help and can't make it on their own. Encourage our leaders today. Give them the strength that they need to stand for you. Let them not be weary in well-doing, but pour into them a well of living water that never runs dry. Give them wisdom beyond their years and a clear understanding of your plan and purpose. Lead them every step of the way so your people will be saved. In Jesus Name, Amen.
