“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end is shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
Habakkuk 2:3
Thought
I must confess! I have trouble waiting at times. I've seen what God has promised me and I want it to come to pass immediately. But in my waiting, I sometimes become frustrated when I don't see the fruit of my labor. The saints of old would sing, "He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be there right on time. He's an on-time God, yes He is!" Without a doubt, what God has for us is for us because He has an expected end for us (Jeremiah 29:11). If you're still breathing, your promise is still on it's way! We just have to remain steadfast (1 Corinthians 15:58) and trust God at his Word (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Thankfully, His Word is His bond.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, help me to understand the importance of patience. Patient in my relationships; patient is my ministry; patient in my prayer life and patient on my job. Give me patience to wait on you knowing that your promises are sure. Thank you for always being true to your Word. I as learn to trust you more and more, make me a vessel of honor to be used by you. Speak to my heart daily and I will obey. Thank you for being my God and choosing to use me! In Jesus Name, Amen.
