Prayer Focus: Repentance, Renewal and Refreshing
Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 605.562.0020 x324-346-203
“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;”
Colossians 3:10-12
Thought
When we accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, He makes us completely new (2 Corinthians 5:17). When He begins the work, He completes the work (Philippians 1:6). He makes everything new (our lives, our thoughts, our ways, and our actions) because He doesn't want us to carry around the baggage of our past. Instead of carrying the chains of death that came with sin, we now carry the wings of hope that comes with salvation. With this great change, we should reflect the image of Christ and now bear the fruit of this new found freedom (Ephesians 5:22-23).
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for newness in you. In my old ways, I always came up short. I was a failure. I was incomplete. But since you came into my heart, my life has not been the same. Thank you for freeing me from the bondage of my past. Let your glory reflect within my life, that I may love like you; be patient like you, and treat others like you treat me. Thank you for being that perfect example! In Jesus Name, Amen.
