Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 515.739.1030 x324-346-203
"O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the heathen." Psalm 98:1-2
Also read: Psalm 118:14-16
Thought
I don't know about you, I love to sing because songs bring joy into my life. I may not be the best singer, but when I sing songs of praise and worship, I stop thinking about me and it focuses my thoughts on God, who has been good to me. They also give me hope when situations in my life seem bleak. We often make someone else's song our own, but our Scripture today encourages us to make up a new song for the Lord. It doesn't have to rhyme and have a catchy tune. Just express the sentiments of your heart and sing them to the glory of God our Father.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of music and songs. Thank you for allowing me to make a joyful noise unto you. Receive my song of praise this day, as I sing to you the sentiments of my heart. I love you and I can sing because of who you are, who you've been, and who you're going to be in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
