Prayer Focus: Prayer for Renewing of your Mind
Daily Prayer Line (7:00 – 7:15 a.m.) – 515.739.1030 x324-346-203
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsover things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:6-8

Thought
With all of the noise in the world today, it's important for believers to have an effective prayer life. Prayer allows us to tune out the world, focus solely on God, and get the peace that we need in a world that's full of chaos. No matter the circumstance, we must continue to pray (Luke 18:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:17). He's always ready to answer our call (Jeremiah 33:3) and we can be confident knowing that He hears us (1 John 5:14). We must make sure that our prayers are not too self-focused, but remember to give thanks to God for all that He's done, doing, and going to do.
Prayer
Most Gracious and Heavenly Father, you have the right to expect praise from me. In the midst of storms, you are my very peace. Thank you for keeping my mind in perfect peace. Thank you for being so great and yet so loving. Thank you for being mindful of me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
